Are you an ATC artist? Or just curious about these small gems of art? Come join a group of ATC swappers on Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 10:30 AM to 12 noon and share your art, swap your cards, or satisfy your curiosity. “ATC” stands for Artist Trading Cards, which are cards the size of a baseball trading card, created using any sort of media including paper, ink, paint, rubber stamps, ephemera, collage sheet images, fabric, buttons, whatever your creativity requires and then swapped with other artists. A central Iowa group of ATC artists which has been holding swaps at the shop would like to invite any other ATC artists (or anyone interested) to join the next swap. All ATCs to swap must be 2 ½” by 3 ½” and made or backed with sturdy cardstock (so they will last) and to swap, should be an original card (i.e., you can use photocopies on a card but cannot swap a photocopy of an entire card) and signed by you on the back. Artists put the cards they want to swap on display during the first part of the swap, and then cards are traded with other artists. Some examples from the last swap will be on display at the shop in June and July. Please join us at the July 31st swap! Questions? Please email Wanda at cwhentge@grm.net
